Each year Ozark offers the opportunity for Juniors, in conjuction with their U.S. History class, to take a tour of historic sites on the east coast.
Come explore America’s beginnings at Jamestown Settlement, and visit the world’s largest living history museum in Williamsburg’s Revolutionary City.
We will walk the National Mall in Washington DC and visit the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, and Arlington Cemetery. The US Capitol Visitor Center is on the list, as well as Lincoln Memorial, National Zoo, and Holocaust Museum.
On our way to Boston and points North, we will take a short detour up the Empire State Building in New York, NY. Then, it’s off to encounters with the USS Constitution – world’s oldest commissioned battleship, and Freedom Trail in Boston. The Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Plantations, and Sturbridge Village are all stops on our tour.
We will finish up with a visit to the Little White Church in Washington, NH and return Sunday evening, October 23.
