This year's trip promises to be a lot of fun, very educational, and will include many stops of historical interest.
It is going to be an exciting trip! We'll start with a unique experience at Ripley's Believer it or Not! and then experience the historic colony at Jamestown, explore the colonial city of Williamsburg and the Governor's mansion. Arlington National Cemetery - changing of the guard, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, all are stops along the way. The Museum of the Bible will be an new addition to our tour as well. We will visit the Holocaust Museum, Smithsonian, and make our way to New York City and Lady Liberty.
We will travel by the home of Paul Revere, Old North Church, the USS Constitution - Old Ironsides, USS Cassin Young and walk the Freedom Trail. A stop by the Tea Party Ship and Museum, where Revolution is afoot and tea will be thrown, Huzzah! Plimoth Plantation will immerse students in the lives of ordinary colonists, and time in the Wampanoag's Quonset hut will educate us on the challenge of life without the comforts of modern civilization. The Mayflower II is on the schedule and promises a trip in time back to the days of the early colonists. There are a lot of stops planned, and a lot of history to learn.
